As the Indonesian correspondent for News Limited, Cindy covered the story and witnessed these boys evolve from cocky and defiant to rehabilitated and redeemed through faith, love and service to their prison community. In this process Cindy also transformed as she experienced the true essence of these boys and then pain of their families and become their greatest advocate and champion for mercy. But mercy was not granted and on that fateful day on April 29, 2015, when Andrew and Myuran, each strapped to a cross, were led to their death by firing squad, the Indonesian government did not execute two unrepentant drug smugglers but an ordained Pastor and a talented and selfless Painter.
