This new danger threatens not just the sheep, but the couple's relationship, as Maria begins to question Florencio's ability to be a caretaker. The rift sends Florencio on an inner spiritual search to prove his worthiness to Maria before the inevitable due date. Heavily improvised, the creative team of Winter Spring used an organic process to explore what it means to enter a new stage in a relationship where the demands of a partner are redefined and ultimately more pressing.
