Roughly a decade later, both men created madcap comedies about the early days of TV and Radio. With his TWIN PEAKS partner MARK FROST, Lynch created the sitcom ON THE AIR, which aired on ABC for three weeks before BOB IGER canceled it. Two years later, George hired MEL SMITH to direct his long-gestating film comedy, RADIOLAND MURDERS, which bombed critically and commercially despite its pioneering use of digital special effects. Today, THE GEORGE LUCAS TALK SHOW will celebrate the links between these two visionary filmmakers by watching all seven episodes of On The Air back-to-back with Radioland Murders.
