The news of the car crash spreads through the village and the Marsden's are soon gathered at the hospital. Ronnie attacks Robert, convinced that it's his fault that his daughter is in ICU. It's suspected that Elaine might have a skull fracture after leakage of spinal fluid is detected, so she is taken for a CAT-scan. Andy tries to persuade Robert to come clean about the accident but he won't hear it and lies to the police later when questioned about what happened. Louise have arranged to go out with Guy Denton, one of the men she met through the speed dating but she cancels the date after only a few drinks at the Woolpack since he reminds her a little bit of Ray. Danny doesn't believe in a long-distance relationship so he breaks up with Ollie. Rodney, now an almost-millionaire after selling off the Mill to Mr. Bevan earlier, can now finally pay off his debt to Dave the loan shark. Gloria decides to spend less time in London and resume her position as Eric's right-hand woman at the factory which means that Steph will have to go back doing manual labor.
