Who are we looking for?

We’re on the lookout for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive legal support and assistance, administrative support in tasks related to sales tax filing under the supervision of the Director of Finance, and other legal - related matters.

What will you do?

• Conduct legal research on issues pertinent to the company’s operations, legal and all mandatory compliance requirements
• Analyze legal documents and contracts and suggest recommendations if necessary
• Review and summarize regulations applicable to the company
• Draft and review legal documents relevant to the operations of the company
• Assist in the preparation of legal briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
• File sales taxes in compliance with the applicable sales tax regulations
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales tax documents
• Stay informed about changes in industry regulations, sales tax laws, and other applicable laws
• Monitor and manage legal deadlines related to the activities of the company
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies

Are You the Right Match?

• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience as a professional paralegal.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Proven experience as a paralegal. Focus on tax law and compliance is ideal.
• Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
