About the Program
Bridging the gap between data science and strategy, NYU Stern’s MS in Business Analytics program provides experienced professionals with a unique and valuable data-driven business perspective that can be immediately implemented in the working environment. The aim of the program is to provide students with the ability to unlock the predictive potential of data to improve financial performance, strategic management, and operational efficiency across a broad range of industries. It is designed for experienced professionals with a minimum of five years of full-time, professional work experience who are interested in gaining a competitive advantage through the predictive potential of data.
Program Format and Schedule
The Master of Science in Business Analytics program is a one year, part-time program divided into five in-person class sessions that take place at NYU Stern and in rotating global locations. This part-time format reduces absence from the office to approximately five weeks over the course of the year. Between modules, students complete an average of 20 to 25 hours of homework per week via distance learning. The culmination of the program is the Business Analytics Capstone, which gives students an opportunity to apply the teachings of the program by presenting a unified and practical case on a topic of their choosing. This is a team-based project with approximately four to six students per group.
