Hello everyone — Welcome back to Poets&Quants’ Must Reads, a quick, digestible recap of the top business school news, sponsored by CentreCourt, P&Q’s virtual admission events.

No. 1: Financial Times 2024 MBA Ranking
After falling out of last year’s Financial Times MBA ranking, the Wharton School returned with a vengeance, soaring back to take first place in the 2024 Financial Times MBA ranking. But the biggest surprise this year is the mediocre standing of Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business in this global ranking.
Harvard plunged seven places to rank 11th, while Stanford took a complete nose dive, dropping 19 places to rank 23rd. It’s the lowest rank either school has ever experienced in the FT ranking over its 26 years of existence. Only five years ago, the FT declared Stanford’s MBA program the best in the world. A mere four years ago, Harvard Business School held that distinction. While little has changed in the quality of these schools or their MBA programs over those years, they now find themselves as also-rans in this ranking.

No. 2: Top 50 Consulting Firms To Work For In 2024
The MBB: McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting Group.
Traditionally, the MBB sat atop of the Vault Consulting 50 Ranking – the gold standard for measuring which consulting firms possess the best industry reputations and provide the best experiences to employees. In 2024, the M – McKinsey – is missing from the MBB in the Vault Consulting 50 Ranking.

No. 3: Nominate Your Favorite Under-40 MBA Professor For 2024’s List
It’s time again to tell us about the most impactful, most inspiring MBA professors under the age of 40.
We’re collecting nominations for the best MBA professors in the business to compile our annual Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors list. Deadline for nominations is March 22, 2024.
We’re looking for MBA professors under the age of 40 who are masters in the classrooms, who influence business and policy, who are prolific researchers, and who have demonstrated meaningful impact on their fields. We need you to tell us who they are.
