Thank you
Great coverage of the scam Amanda and, I do believe, her husband participated, carried out on friends. To play on other's emotions and generosity is disgraceful and hurtful. As one whose father, family members, and my best friend, all lost their battle to cancer, what she did was deplorable and hurtful.
Thank you and all those who worked hard on this podcast and those who uncovered her scam.
Thank you
I want to thank the incredible brave strong women who told their truths and called out a pathetic soul who knows no suffering. As a REAL cancer survivor I am disgusted by the pain and grief she has created. Hopefully this podcast will deter heartless parasites from doing the same harm.
Good but lacking
This podcast was interesting, but it was frustrating how it jumped around in time and made it hard to track. Also, there seemed to be a real lack of understanding on Charlie’s part about how someone could pull off the pictures and get the supplies Amanda did. I can’t believe that she and her team didn’t bother to investigate this before publishing this series. It’s incredibly easily to get so many medical supplies in so many ways, and also easy to get services at the ER if you report certain symptoms in the US, additionally we have boutique places that give IVs for vitamins, etc.
I am also really disappointed that there was almost no research on why Amanda may have done what she did beyond getting money. They could have interviewed psychologists and others who can provide valuable insights. Obviously, until or unless Amanda admits her lies no one can know for certain why she did the things she did, but she likely follows patterns that other folks do as well.
