The global impact of Trump's speech

As Donald Trump formally accepts the nomination to become the Republican candidate at the US Election, what can we learn from his 90 minute acceptance speech? His actual foreign policies on Ukraine, the Middle East, China, and North Korea remain under wraps, but today the World in 10 analyses what we DID find out as he addressed the nation. We're joined by Director, US, at Eurasia Group, Clayton Allen, while The Times' Maxim Tucker gives us the thoughts of Ukraine's front line soldiers on a Trump presidency.

Biden's latest headache: Israel rejects Palestinian state policy

Biden's latest headache: Israel rejects Palestinian state policy

Israel's lawmakers have officially rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state, ending hope for Joe Biden that one of his main foreign policies could come to fruition. Under the proposed agreement, the US would grant Saudi Arabia a security pact and assistance in building a civil nuclear reactor, and in return the Saudis would establish relations with Israel. But the condition of that was an Israeli commitment to a Palestinian state. In today's World in 10, the Times' Middles East correspondent, Samer al-Atrush, analyses what this means for Biden, Israel and the war effort.

Why?

Why can’t the same level of compassion and empathy and respect be afforded to the Palestinian people who are being abused and exploited and acts of genocide against them
Are they not allowed to be seen as human beings?
Why are the media giving silent are the children their not allowed to be protected from the horrors of their monsters?
I think things don’t add up
There are sum 27 wars going on right now surely we should be discussing the links between these wars and human rights abuses also
I want to know why the world leaders are not talking about these atrocities and doing something about these in the same level of concern with plans
Help us understand why

Snappy , short, insightful

This is a great podcast for keeping me across what’s going on around the world with succinct analysis not just reporting the facts. I often learn something I didn’t know. And the conversational style makes it an easy listen.
