Fresh From the Land Down Under – The TouchArcade Show #597

After a two week hiatus, we are back with another episode of The TouchArcade Show. Eli is fresh off his trip to Australia, which according to him is very similar to America but more upside down. Also kangaroos all over. Other topics this week include handheld emulator devices (imagine that!), a recap of our 300th episode which leads to all kinds of tangents, an interesting listener email, some of the new features in iOS 18 beta, and much more. It’s an hour and a half XL episode so strap in!

We Stained the Hotel Sink Red – The TouchArcade Show #596

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show, we dive right into our countdown to episode 600 with a recap of our 200th episode, which involved Eli and I going to Las Vegas for a Bandai Namco press event on the eve of pre-orders opening for the original Apple Watch. We then spend some time talking about the dumpster fire that is the Intellivision Amico, and decide to touch the poo by weighing in on the whole Dr Disrespect thing.

Countdown to Episode 600! – The TouchArcade Show #595

Countdown to Episode 600! – The TouchArcade Show #595

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show we talk about the Summer Game Fest firehose of game announcements and news, and how it was kind of too much to really properly digest. I don’t miss E3, but, there’s got to be a better way. We then spend a ton of time talking about Apple’s WWDC announcements, including their push into AI with what they’re calling Apple Intelligence (but don’t you DARE refer to it as AI!). We quickly touch on a cool new romhack called Super Mario Horizons and then unveil a VERY cool surprise related to our upcoming 600th episode. Huge thanks to one of our listeners who provided this to us, you know who you are!

The Impatience Tax – The TouchArcade Show #594

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show Eli talks about his fancy new iPad Pro and the harrowing tale of how he ended up finally getting his hands on it. We then switch gears to some listener emails which includes some defense of boomers. Share your support of this movement with the #NotAllBoomers hashtag. Actual iPhone games are the next topic of discussion, going into our experiences with Squad Busters and Star Wars Hunters as well as our general distaste for free to play games. Finally, we talk about ModRetro and the Chromatic, which is a fancy love letter to the Game Boy from Palmer Luckey. Yeah… that guy.

The Boomer Internet is Born – The TouchArcade Show #593

The Boomer Internet is Born – The TouchArcade Show #593

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show, Eli reveals what we’ve known was going to happen all along: He broke down and bought one of the new iPads. We talk more about the iPad and its future, and ponder on if all the “whimsy" moments in tech are now over. Remember when Steve Jobs pulled the first iPod Nano out of that tiny fifth pocket of his jeans? Or when he pulled the first iPad Air out of a manilla envelope? Is showmanship like that in tech dead, or even necessary anymore? We also dive into the crazy viral documentary from Jenny Nicholson about the failed Star Wars hotel, and finish things out with some listener emails which leads into some interesting topics.

Orlando Trip Report and New iPad Talk – The TouchArcade Show #592

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show we recount our trip to Orlando last week which included a trip to Disney’s Epcot and some travel woes for yours truly. We then spend a large chunk of the show talking about Apple’s new iPads which were announced last week and available to customers this week. Next up we jump into some listener emails which includes topics like dollar store versions of popular franchises on mobile as well as some elite unnecessary tech products to buy.

Best Gaming Podcast

I’ve been listening to this podcast for over 10 years and not missed an episode. The content is great and touch arcade as a website is an amazing resource for mobile gamers. They’re responsible for me finding so many amazing games. The podcast feels like sitting down with old friends to chat about gaming. Cannot recommend this enough. If you like the website and podcast as much as I do and don’t want to see it fold, sling ‘em a bit of support on Patreon!

Brilliant talk about ios gaming

Here is an updated review, been listening to this show for as long as I can remember. The show is such a good podcast where the presenters know what they are talking about. There have been many games I have played and really enjoyed on their recommendation. Hope they continue!
