    Tale of two leadership contests

    Tale of two leadership contests

Sky News' deputy political editor Sam Coates and Politico's Jack Blanchard are here with their guide to the day ahead in politics.

Labour sets out to tackle welfare, setting out their vision to get Britain working by addressing economic inactivity - could this be Sir Keir Starmer's biggest challenge yet? Or perhaps it's the first rebellion already on the cards for the new Prime Minister.

Plus, while Kamala Harris has said she has enough delegates to secure the nomination to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for President - the Tories delay announcing their leader until November, meaning a long wait to find out who Rishi Sunak's successor will be.

Essential listening

Excellent unbiased journalism and glad it’s continuing after election day. Don’t normally bother with self opinionated podcasts but this strikes the right balance and some genuine humour too. References to travelodge room colours spot on 😀

Very poor

This podcast stated off quite promising but recent episodes have been neither informative nor insightful. The increasing bias, poor choice of words as well as questionable tone means I find it very hard to continue subscribing. And recent coverage of US politics has been equally poor - plenty of US podcasts including The Rest is Politics US do a terrific job already. Perhaps the presenters should focus on home-grown politics rather than stray into US politics which they rather bizarrely stated in their latest episode was overshadowing things here!

Disappointing

What a shame from Sky. These two have become more & more biased pre & post election - it’s like listening to Laura Kuenssberg. I’ve unsubscribed I’m afraid with regret. Will check in again in six months or so and see if it’s back to some sort of impartiality. Disappointing
