Very intriguing and no cost to get into a course that you may be interested in "if available" with the option to pay into the course you find for a certificate, college credit, etc. That said this is awesome to at least Download and look through with many courses from multiple colleges and universities. Be sure to read over the course to see how long it lasts, and what you can get if you decided the course is worth paying for.

Virtually unusable in mobile format. I enrolled in three courses as a supplement to my own personal study and each of them have entire sections of each lesson that are unavailable in mobile format. These pages preface that using an internet browser may better functionality but do not preface that the app has limited ability to accommodate the activities provided in each lesson. Furthermore, going from page to page, entire right halves of written text are sometimes unavaible as well.

The EdX app remains less than user-friendly and some bugs persist. Course progress is not intuitive on an individual course's menu. Lessons completed are not differentiated from those yet to complete (such as with checkmarks on the Coursera app). All courses, both completed and in-progress, appear on a single courses tab. This is cluttered if you've taken several. Also, course progress isn't always captured when lectures are viewed on the app; I frequently have to redo them on the desktop site.
