This app is barely functional. Sure you can use it to setup and control your Alexa Echo devices, in fact it is necessary for that and managing skills. But it is little quirks that make it very frustrating, for example: tapping your phone's back button (or swiping the back gesture) closes the app instead of going back to the previous screen. Managing skills requires tapping more, skills and games, scrolling to the bottom, my skills and you have to repeat this every time for every skill.

All of the little things would be negligible if they didn't add up to my inability to use Spotify properly on my echo. I've learned to work around it, but i shouldnt have to think this hard to figure out how to get the device to understand. The random ads are also annoying, but I couldn't find a way to turn them off. Anything good about it is not unique to Alexa; all AI have their issues, I guess. Only leaving this review bc it's the 10th time it asked........ which is a seperate issue.

The app resets everyday. I have turned off battery management, allowed unlimited data and everyday I have to setup my name, contacts like a first time setup. The app slows down the phone and when adding skills that try and link through the app keeps asking to relink. Can never find a new device, but Google can and even and open source app can see it. The app tells me to setup a video device if I ask to open Amazon music on my that has TV with Alexa built in but can open an app on a Roku.
