The app worked but was quite finicky. The zoom sometimes zoomed smoothly and sometimes was really jumpy (for lack of a better explanation). Sometimes the app lost focus for no good reason. Sometimes it would go from perfectly clear to blurry in half a second. My mom used the iOS version of the app on her iPhone and also had these issues. We did manage to get *some* good photos during the eclipse though and it was worth what we paid for the filters. The app just needs some work.

Tried this for the April 2024 eclipse with mixed results. Sliders were a bit touchy, but otherwise worked as expected. Phone's camera (S22+) let me zoom in closer, but I believe it uses a digital zoom that the app wouldn't (and shouldn't) rely on. The filters themselves were of great use for both viewing and taking pictures, with no issues.

This app worked great for me! I was able to get good pictures of the partial and total eclipse. I'd recommend using the three picture setting by clicking on the box on the bottom right (also explained in app tutorial). It takes three pictures at different exposures, one of which was usually a good one.
