END OF TERM REPORT FOR CWBR YOUTH PROJECT

END OF TERM REPORT FOR CWBR YOUTH PROJECT

With our CWBR Youth project for Pembrokeshire, currently coming to the end of its current funded outputs, we held a well attended, project update event for key stakeholders and partners, in Haverhub.
Outlining the youth led focus, which has been key to the delivery of the project over the last two years, some of the key achievements, deliverables, and recommendations for next steps, were shared with over 40 key invitees present.
Following an introduction and welcome from PLANED Chief Executive, Iwan Thomas, Tom Moses who has been the lead Coordinator on the project, presented a detailed overview of the journey for the project, and who had been involved.

Whilst the main funding had been from the national Lottery, additional funding for specific deliverables, had also been successfully sourced from Welsh Government, WCVA, and the Police & Crime Commissioner, to enable and engage both young adults, with decision makers and local leaders across Pembrokeshire.
This included the deilvery of 162 events by the project, where 2,225 young people had been involved, alongside 933 decision makers, thanks to the CWBR youth project.
The project aims included the need to strengthen and support needed, for improved community engagement amongst young people with local elected decision makers.
More information on the ouputs and recommendations from the project will be shared via the online project resources shortly, including new videos with inputs from some of the young people engaged.
Next steps also include the sharing of recommendations with key decision makers locally, and the completion of new regional CWBR youth funding bid to extend the work of the project with partners in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, as well as Pembrokeshire, based on demand and need.
