First, it highlights philosophical and economic theories underpinning the concept of intergenerational solidarity and the related paradigm-shifting policies and academic proposals. Then, it takes a deep dive into the Polish energy sector’s approach to intergenerational solidarity – formulated and applied by both public and…
This paper aims to bring closer the second, longer-term approach to intergenerational solidarity since most debates on just transition depict only the first traditional one. First, it highlights philosophical and economic theories underpinning the concept of intergenerational solidarity and the related paradigm-shifting policies and academic proposals. Then, it takes a deep dive into the Polish energy sector’s approach to intergenerational solidarity – formulated and applied by both public and private actors in Poland. It concludes with recommendations for public and private actors - on the both institutional and conceptual level.

Capital Market Leaders Academy (ALKR) is the most prestigious Polish program established in 2006 with aim to educate future capital market leaders in Poland. Each year 30 enthusiasts of capital markets including outstanding students and graduates are admitted to the program out of more than thousand applications. They are not only passionate about capital markets but also they are charismatic leaders who can efficiently work within a group.
The Academy covers a Summer School program and…Capital Market Leaders Academy (ALKR) is the most prestigious Polish program established in 2006 with aim to educate future capital market leaders in Poland. Each year 30 enthusiasts of capital markets including outstanding students and graduates are admitted to the program out of more than thousand applications. They are not only passionate about capital markets but also they are charismatic leaders who can efficiently work within a group.
The Academy covers a Summer School program and summer internship. During two-week program they are educated by top business practitioners and are given special leadership trainings. All the participants are entitled to internships in top companies with exposure to the local and international market.
They form a unique community which works to develop the Polish capital market and support each other professionally and personally. So far 290 people have taken part in the Academy.
