This unprecedented TOTEM project by Dictador was designed to preserve and celebrate cultural heritage through art, and the rapid sell-out is a testament to its success. Our limited collection of 250 bottles was meticulously decorated by 10 of the most talented Huichol artists. Each artist spent a week adorning a single bottle, resulting in 10 distinct designs, each replicated 25 times. Every bottle embodies a unique expression of the artist's vision and includes precious symbols of Huichol culture. The Wixárika collection, a collaboration with the Huichol Indians (Wixáritari), showcases the remarkable traditions, art, and culture of this legendary ethnic group from central Mexico. The Huichols' artistic process is deeply spiritual, emphasizing the act of creation itself – singing, sewing, embroidering, and crafting intricate patterns with thousands of tiny beads. Indulge with Dictador: Rum Baba with Orange Confiture | White Chocolate Mousse with Tonka Bean Baba Dough: 250 g wheat flour 25 g butter 3 large eggs 7 g dried yeast 1 tablespoon sugar pinch of salt 50 g raisins 150 ml DICTADOR 2 MASTERS LECLERC BRIANT Rum Instructions: Place the raisins in a bowl and pour over the rum. Leave for at least 30 minutes. Combine the remaining ingredients, knead into an elastic dough and leave to rise. Drain the raisins and add them to the dough, reserving the rum for the syrup. Knead the dough again with the raisins, place in molds, and leave to rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake for about 15 minutes, depending on the size of the molds. Syrup: 300 ml water 200 g sugar Rum used for soaking raisins 1 orange 1 lemon Instructions: Put the water, sugar, and citrus juices into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the reserved rum and let it cool. White Chocolate Mousse with Tonka Bean: 50 ml milk 1 gelatin sheet 1 tonka bean 100 g white chocolate 250 ml 36% cream, whipped Instructions: Soak the gelatin in cold water for at least 10 minutes. Heat the milk in a saucepan, add the white chocolate and squeezed gelatin. Mix well and let cool. Mix with the previously whipped cream and refrigerate for about 3 hours or longer. Orange Confiture: 4 oranges 100 g sugar or honey 1 liter orange juice Instructions: Scald the oranges and peel them with a zester. You can also peel them with a peeler and chop into fine strips. Squeeze the juice from the oranges. Crush the seeds and wrap them in gauze. Pour the squeezed orange juice into a saucepan, add the peels and sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, add the orange remnants wrapped in gauze, and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes. Remove the gauze and squeeze the liquid back into the peel mixture. Cook until it reaches a marmalade consistency. Final Assembly: Soak the baked babas in the syrup for a few minutes. A 39-year-old Dictador Rum from a 1978 single vintage cask finished in sherry casks and then shipped to Leclerc Briant in Champagne, where the rum spent eight months further in lightly toasted TARANSAUD & SEGUIN-MOREAU cask used by Leclerc Briant since 2009. Bottled at 44% ABV. Nose: Surprisingly rich, mellow buttered caramel overtones with greener new French oak nuances, toasted coconut, vanilla stalk and salted caramel with freshness and nuttiness. Palate: A rich, expansive complexity with maple bar over vanilla yoghurt, then honeyed berry character and grape juice. On the mid-palate, it changes character and begins its slow lingering route back to the origins of the rum with condensed sugar cane juice, evaporated milk and hints of honeysuckle flowers. This spirits masterpiece, known as Dictador 2Masters, is an expertly-blended, decades-old liquid made from the finest hand-selected and meticulously sourced global brand masters to create one of the very best spirits to sip in the world. Dirk Niepoort is the current leader of the "family" and a member of the fifth-generation. Based on the flavour profiles of the vintages that he receives from Hernan Para, Dirk Niepoort has made a unique blend, to make a singular rum. Before he put them in his own Port Pipes, he blended rums from 1971 (49-years old Rum) and 1978 (42-years-old Rum) and in another Pipe he blended the 1974 (46-years-old Rum) and 1980 (40-years-old Rum). The pipes that he used are over 50 years Old Port Pipes and after 15 months he made a final blend between these two Pipes.
