💡 What is the link between skill gaps and poverty? 🌐 How can upskilling and reskilling opportunities be designed in order to reach those who need it? Today, the Civil Society Organisations' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) held a debate about “skills poverty”, a condition in which individuals or communities lack the necessary skills and competencies for effective labour market integration, among the most vulnerable people. 👩🏫 During the event, Agnieszka Maj, co-author of the study and economist at CASE, presented the findings from the study “How to eradicate skills poverty among the most vulnerable?” Through combining quantitative analysis, literature review and country-based case studies (Ireland, Italy, Poland, Denmark and Belgium), the study identifies successful policy initiatives aimed at overcoming skill gaps and proposes recommendations to combat “skills poverty” effectively. 👉 Download the study: https://lnkd.in/d2ub7B8B
