Bio

Ashraf A. Sabe, MD is board-certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery.  He is a cardiac surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital who specializes in advanced aortic, endovascular, and minimally invasive valve surgery.  He is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and serves as the director of the medical student clerkship and as associate program director for the residency in cardiac surgery. 

Dr. Sabe graduated Alpha Omega Alpha with a medical degree (MD) from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, in Cleveland, OH.  He completed his general surgery residency and served as administrative chief resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.  He completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency, serving as administrative chief resident, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an advanced aortic and endovascular fellowship at Duke University.  He also completed an advanced minimally invasive valve fellowship at Leipzig Heart Institute, Germany. 

Dr. Sabe is the associate surgical director of the structural valve disease program at BWH.  He specializes in advanced aortic and endovascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery including transcatheter valve procedures, complex valve surgery, redo cardiac surgery and treatment of atrial fibrillation.
