After weeks of silence following a scandal that rocked their family, it appears as if life in the Dillard household is approaching the status quo.

In celebration of Israel David‘s two-month birthday, Jill, 24, Tweeted a link to the Dillard family website containing all-new photos of her growing baby boy.

Derick re-Tweeted his wife, writing, “He’s getting bigger every day!”

The new photos of their son run the adorable gamut, including such baby-photo staples as the requisite toothless grin and the classic “cool” photo, complete with a pair of oversize sunglasses and a floral T-shirt that appears to read “surf dude.”

Last week, Jill – along with sister Jessa Seewald, 22 – came forward as two of older brother Josh‘s victims of molestation. The girls were 12 and “9 or 10,” respectively, as they revealed on Fox News’ The Kelly File.

Now that they have spoken out, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE that the 19 Kids and Counting stars are looking forward to taking back control of their lives.

They “had planned on sharing many milestones with the public, [and] are hopeful that they may be able to regain some semblance of normalcy and be able to share their happiness with people,” says the source. “That’s partially what was behind Jill’s Instagram post [announcing Israel’s two-month birthday]: It was a small step toward reminding people how good they still know life to be.”
