Christopher Reeve

Christopher Reeve was an actor and activist. He was best known as the star of the Superman films. Reeve died of heart failure in 2004, nine years after a 1995 horse-riding accident left him paralyzed. In 1982, he founded The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. The charity organization advocates for legislation and research in the study of spinal cord injuries and helps to improve the quality of life for those impacted.
