If there’s anyone who’s been as professionally successful as Bella Hadid in 2016, it’s surely Kendrick Lamar. While that may seem like a total non sequitur, the model and the musician actually have more in common than first meets the eye. Both started out the past year with respectable, if not household, name recognition, and are headed into the new year having easily achieved that in addition to an even more major list of accomplishments, including walking the Victoria’s Secret runway and releasing an album of demo tracks and nabbing another Grammy in the process. They also both kicked off 2017 as the new face of two huge fashion campaigns.

The rapper is starting January with the release of an all new sneaker design he’s created in collaboration with Reebok, the Reebok Classic x Kendrick Lamar Club C Capsule. According to a press release for the new kicks, the design’s aesthetic, “focuses on the themes of anonymity and abstraction while also calling for unity,” featuring an all-over black and white acid wash print and a red tongue, inconspicuously branded with “k.o.”

Bella also started 2017 with a serious new photo shoot, posing for Fendi’s Spring 2017 campaign. Her casting is a natural fit given the model has regularly walked in the brand’s runway collections, including this summer’s 90th anniversary show in front of the Trevi fountain in Rome. Though the images have yet to be released, her sister Gigi is also slated to appear in the brand’s latest campaign shot by creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

Stylist and fashion blogger Margaret Zhang and actress Kate Bosworth are also trying their hand at the whole modeling thing this season, posing for Tory Burch‘s new handbag campaign featuring new styles of the Gemini Link bag. The ads shot in Los Angeles highlight pieces from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2016 line in addition to some fresh takes on their signature purse design which “celebrates life’s dualities and the two sides to every story.”

Sportswear brand Athleta also chose to celebrate the strength of multiplicity, highlighting a diversity of women as a part of their “Power of She” campaign. While the series originally launched back in April, this month they are debuting five all new narratives meant, “to ignite a community of active, confident women and girls to reach their limitless potential and celebrate the power of sisterhood.”
