After the success of Netflix's Quarterback, the streaming giant has teamed up with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions again for Receiver, an eight-episode series by the same formula following five NFL receivers through the 2023 season.

But this time, Manning, regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, is letting retired superstar receiver Randy Moss have the floor, and PEOPLE has an exclusive clip of the NFL legends in the opening of the series.

"They say there's not a more difficult position in sports than NFL quarterback," Manning says in a dramatic voiceover as the clip begins. "But the truth is throwing a pass is only half the story,"

Manning continues, "With all due respect to offensive lineman, a quarterback's best friend is this guy: the receiver."

Then, Moss cuts the retired quarterback off and says, "Peyton, Peyton, Peyton — this show is about receivers right? I love you and all but why don't you pass this season off to me?"

"It's in good hands," Moss, who played 14 seasons in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers, adds with a sly smile.

Moss then explains to viewers, "This year, we switched it up. Instead of giving quarterbacks even more love, we followed five of the league's best pass catchers throughout the 2023 season."

The five players featured include George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson, Las Vegas Raider Davante Adams and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions.

The show promises to go "all in with the top receivers in the league," according to Moss, as the receivers "balance their daily grind with the pursuit of greatness."

Netflix released Quarterback, which followed Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins from the Minnesota Vikings and Marcus Mariota (formerly of the Atlanta Falcons) in 2023.

Mahomes, 28, through his 2PM Productions company, serves as an executive producer on Receiver, alongside NFL Films and Manning's Omaha Productions.

All eight episodes of Receiver premiere July 10th on Netflix.
