Jesse Plemons is showing off the results of his recent weight loss on the red carpet.
On June 20, the 36-year-old actor was joined by his wife, Kirsten Dunst, at the New York City premiere of Kinds of Kindness at the Museum of Modern Art.
At the premiere, the Love & Death star spoke with Entertainment Tonight about losing 50 pounds "over the course of a year and a half or so."
"Well, I'm not lugging 50 more pounds around," Plemons said when he was asked how his life has changed. The actor went on to add that his health journey was inspired in part by his children, sons Ennis, 6, and James, 3, whom he shares with Dunst.
He explained, "I have much more energy [now] and, like I've said, I've got young kids, so I got to keep up with them."
Plemons sported a sophisticated look for the June premiere. The Killers of the Flower Moon actor wore a sleek, tailored black suit with a white button-down shirt. He accessorized with a pair of black leather loafers.
Meanwhile, Dunst, 42, wore an elegant summer ensemble. The Oscar nominee arrived in a silk pale yellow sheath gown with an asymmetrical neckline that included one shoulder with a cap sleeve and the other sleeveless. The gown featured a cinched waist and sparkling embroidered florals.
The Power of the Dog actress channeled Old Hollywood glam, with loose waves framing her face, a deep red lipstick and soft bronzed eye makeup. She kept her accessories minimal and wore her wedding band and a pair of diamond stud earrings.
Plemons was also photographed with costar, Emma Stone. The two-time Oscar winner wore a black gown with intricate cutouts and detailing that draped across her hips. The long-sleeve black gown with transparent fabric that included polka-dots on both sleeves and the skirt. The dress included one panel of fabric that included a black and black checkerboard print that fell across the center of her body.
She topped off her look with a pair of black strappy heels and, like Dunst, a pair of diamond stud earrings. Her glam included a slick straight blow out and a soft pink makeup look that was highlighted by her peachy lipstick.

Earlier this month, Plemons — who famously gained weight to play Boston mobster Kevin Weeks in 2015’s Black Mass — shared that his recent fitness journey wasn’t motivated by his appearance, but by his age, and his scene-stealing role in the new drama, Civil War.
“What it was was getting older and — I hate even getting specific because then it turns into a whole thing, but there was a part that I did that in my mind I could not imagine him as the size that I was.”
The part he’s referring to is his cameo in the apocalyptic war drama, where he appears as a soldier in a tense scene with Dunst.
“I lost a little bit before I did that part,” Plemons told the outlet. “Several people talked to me about intermittent fasting and I just gave it a shot and [was] surprised at how quickly it was effective.”

Intermittent fasting is the time-restricted approach to eating that has become a popular weight-loss tool. Those who practice it say they like the ease of the system, where you limit your eating hours to a portion of the day, then "fast" during the remaining hours to lose weight.
After starting intermittent fasting, Plemons admitted that he “felt like I was in the rhythm, I was feeling better, and something shifted in my head. I just sort of got a handle on it.”
And although he worried that for his latest role in Kinds of Kindness, director Yorgos Lanthimos would want “the bigger me,” he said being physically thinner actually worked in the film.
Kinds of Kindness is in theaters June 21.
