Cross, the upcoming TV adaptation of James Patterson's novel of the same name, has set a premiere date.

Prime Video announced during the Essence Fest in New Orleans on Saturday, July, 6, that all eight of the series' episodes will premiere on the platform on Nov. 14.

Aldis Hodge stars as Alex Cross in the crime thriller — which already has been renewed for a season 2. He is joined by Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold.

Cross, according to Prime Video, follows the titular character, who is described as "a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderers."

The show is based on Patterson's novel, which was released in 1993. It later spawned 31 sequels and two novellas, as well as three books centered on Alex’s son, Ali.

Patterson, 77, serves as an executive producer on the show, alongside others, through James Patterson Entertainment.

Cross is also produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television.

Patterson appeared on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast last month, when he opened up about how the series is one of his favorite TV adaptations of his books

“That's the first one where I really can look at and go like, ‘Yep. It's edgier,’ " the famed author said. “It's more realistic about police work, [and] I really like the way that turned out.”

Cross will be available to stream on Prime Video on Nov. 14.
