Elton John Spends Evening with the 'Fiercely Fabulous' Chappell Roan and Shares Sweet Photo: 'Love Her'

Elton John had a "casual" hang with Chappell Roan.

On Monday, June 24, the "Tiny Dancer" hitmaker, 77, shared a photo on Instagram of him alongside the "Good Luck, Babe" musician, 26, after enjoying a pizza party.

"The BEST evening of pizza and outrageous laughter with the fiercely fabulous @chappellroan, "John captioned a photo featuring him in a blue and red tracksuit and red trainers with his arm around Roan, who was in a black blouse and matching ankle-length skirt. "Love her, love her, love her 🚀❤️🌈."

According to an Instagram posted by Dan Nigro, Roan's songwriting collaborator, he and the "Your Song" artist's husband David Furnish joined them for the meal.

While that happened to be the first time John and Roan formally met in-person, the pair previously spoke to one another during the musician/activist's show Rocket Hour in late May, where they detailed her success in the music industry and how much "Rocket Man" singer has admired her.

“I rang you the other night and said, ‘Listen, I’m not stalking you, but I’m as excited about your album’s success as you are,'” John said. “It’s wonderful to see true talent being recognized.”

During the interview, Roan laughed at his kind words, saying her rise to fame has been “pretty overwhelming,” adding that “it’s also affirming … pushing through the hard times is worth it.”

Earlier this week, the "Pink Pony Club" singer shared a TikTok detailing her recent rise to pop-stardom and spoke about her interactions with fellow pop stars.

"I'm reflecting on my life and the past couple of weeks have been cuckoo,” Roan said. "But what's so reassuring and so f---ing sick is — the pop girls that you and I have loved our whole lives or have been f---ing stans [of] the past two or three years — a lot of them have reached out and are so supportive and girl's girls.”

She added that she was so impressed by how "the girls" are "supporting each other in the pop industry."

Meanwhile, John — who wrapped his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July 2023 — reportedly has a new album coming soon.

According to his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin, who spoke with The Sun, “it’s all done and recorded."
