The Jolie-Pitt Family Album: Their Sweetest Outings Together

Though Jolie said she "never thought of herself as a mother," it's clear it's the role that she's happiest playing. In early 2016, she brought her five youngest children – from left, Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox, Zahara and Pax – to the premiere of her film Kung Fu Panda 3.

In 2011, Jolie (here at the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards with Zahara and Shiloh) spoke of putting family first. "I suppose what I've learned from Brad is to be able to have the kind of family whose happiness and well-being comes before your own," she said. "I'm very, very grateful to have such a loving family, and I wouldn't have that without him."

For the premiere of Jolie's 2014 film, Maleficent, the whole family – except for Vivienne (who had a small role in the movie!) – came out to show support.

When Jolie couldn't make it to the 2014 premiere of her directorial debut Unbroken (she was home sick with the chicken pox), Pitt, Pax, Shiloh and Maddox were there to represent their matriarch.

Pitt's parents, Jane and William, even came along for the occasion to support their daughter-in-law.

Pitt and Jolie took their eldest, Maddox, whom she adopted in 2002 from a Cambodian orphanage, to the Academy's Governors Awards in 2013.

For the London premiere of Pitt's film World War Z in 2013, Maddox and Pax accompanied their parents for a family movie night.

Jolie and Pitt have always taught their children about the world around them: Here, they took a trip to Namibia, Shiloh's birthplace, where the family rang in 2011 at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary and Lodge.

Remember when? Back in June 2008, when they were just a family of six (the twins arrived the next month, in July 2008), Pitt took Maddox out for a day at the MotoGP Italian motorcycling Grand Prix at Mugello.
