Bella Hadid Makes Sexy Red Carpet Return in Sheer, Nipple-Baring Dress at Cannes: See Her Bold Look!

Bella Hadid is back, baby! 

The 27-year-old, who has taken a hiatus from red carpets and catwalks over the past couple of years and recently announced her step back from modeling, made a head-turning style statement at The Apprentice Cannes Film Festival screening on May 20.

For her first major carpet appearance since 2023, Hadid wore a nude Saint Laurent halter-neck gown that revealed her nipples. The body-con design, from the house's fall 2024 collection, features 10 denier hosiery cups and a pleated pantyhose bodice, per Vogue.

She paired the dress with maroon peep-toe heels, gold statement earrings and side-parted waves for a retro vibe.

In recent months, Hadid has been in New York City promoting her new fragrance line, Orebella, and enjoying Texas life with her new boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, a decorated equestrian.

Her last red carpet appearance was on March 18, 2023, at the Stanton Social Prime opening at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. 

The last time she was at the star-studded film festival in France was in 2022 — and she came with looks on looks on looks on looks.

She wore two vintage Versace designs — each with a completely different vibe (one Old Hollywood glamour, the other bohemian-chic) — for The Innocent (L'Innocent) screening and the Cannes Anniversary Dinner respectively.

She also attended the Broker (Les Bonnes Etoiles) screening in a white Gucci by Tom Ford gown, and the Chopard Loves Cinema dinner in vintage Chanel.

Her most memorable Cannes style moment had to be in 2021 though, the year she stepped out in a breathtaking Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown complete with a rhinestone-covered brass breastplate in the shape of lungs. 

"I did a little cup check before I got out of the car and that was it. I was like, 'If it's going to happen, it's going to happen now,” Hadid said in a 2021 Vogue Life in Looks video. “So, I'm about to walk this carpet and if in five minutes from now, there are pictures of my breasts everywhere, then that's what was supposed to happen.'"

Well, that didn't happen and she managed to dodge a wardrobe malfunction. But what she didn’t expect was how she would feel about the sheer nakedness of it all. 

"When I would look down, you could see everything. So it was very bizarre walking onto the carpet in places you wouldn't usually have a breeze,” she remembered.
