Jeff Nelson has more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, editing, writing and reporting on music and pop culture news.
He is currently the Senior Music Editor and has been with PEOPLE since 2014, most recently working as the Senior News Editor, Entertainment. He first worked for PEOPLE in 2013 as an American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) intern.
He has appeared as an expert on Good Morning America, Extra, HLN and SiriusXM, as well as at RuPaul's DragCon as a moderator.

Jeff Nelson has more than a decade of experience in entertainment journalism, editing, writing and reporting on music and pop culture news. Jeff runs PEOPLE's music coverage across print and digital and has written cover stories on icons including Madonna, Shania Twain, Jon Bon Jovi and Pink. After interning for PEOPLE in 2013, he joined the brand as a writer-reporter in 2014. A Minnesota native, he studied magazine media at Drake University, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning Drake Magazine and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communication.
