Angie Harmon's daughter Avery Sehorn has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a North Carolina nightclub, just days after celebrating her high school graduation.

The 18-year-old — whom the Law & Order actress, 51, shares with ex-husband Jason Sehorn — was arrested on Thursday, June 6, after a Charlotte nightclub owner accused her and two 17-year-old boys of breaking into the business and stealing bottles of alcohol, local outlet WCCB reported.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Avery allegedly broke into World Nightclub in Charlotte and stole $500 worth of liquor in six bottles on Wednesday, June 5.

Fox News reported that the alleged break-in occurred at around 11:30 p.m., citing an incident report, and arrest records obtained by PEOPLE show that Avery was arrested just two minutes after midnight on the same night.

The owner of the nightclub told WCCB that Avery and the two boys broke in through a back door, hid behind the bar and stole the bottles of liquor. He said they were caught by cleaning crews and attempted to run, but they were later caught by police. The owner also told the outlet that the incident was captured by security cameras.

Avery has since been charged with felony breaking and entering as well as larceny, according to the court documents. She was released from jail on June 6 after signing a written promise to return for her upcoming court date. She is next set to appear at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse on June 28.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Harmon's attorney George V. Laughrun II said: "Ms. Harmon respects and believes in the criminal justice system. She is looking forward to her daughter’s day in court so that the real truth can be told from individuals who were eyewitnesses to the events."

"They and their counsel are confident that the truth will be forthcoming and again are looking ahead to show actual facts about what occurred, not conclusions and conjecture from outside sources," the statement continued. "We will be making no further comment until our day in court and ask that everyone respect their privacy."

Charlotte police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

PEOPLE previously reported that Avery graduated from high school on June 2.

"We are all immensely proud of you, Avery!" Harmon wrote in an Instagram post on the day of the graduation, sharing a photo of Avery in her cap gown posing with her and her other two daughters: Finley Faith, 20, and Emery Hope, 15, whom she also shares with her ex-husband. She and the retired NFL star, 53, split in 2014.

"You have overcome & conquered & excelled to shine brightly with the stars! Remember to leave every place better than you found it," the former model continued in the caption. “We are all so excited to see what God has planned for you!"

Harmon previously made headlines earlier this year after her dog Oliver was shot and killed on March 30 by an Instacart delivery driver.

Following her dog's death, she filed a lawsuit against Instacart and the delivery driver for alleged trespassing, negligence, invasion of privacy and more. Harmon previously opened up to PEOPLE about the incident, calling the pain of losing Oliver "unfathomable."

"I'm still bawling and crying. I can feel myself shaking. It's difficult — unfathomable — but we can't just sit back and do nothing. We can't just sit by and take our rebate from Instacart and say, 'Okay, thank you.' This is like a public service announcement," she said. "I mean, people need to know that this is what could happen."
