Why are you seeking elective office?

I am the only candidate that is not a career politician. I created the Shirley Chisholm Plan to fight systemic racism in Brooklyn. We dedicated this campaign plan for the borough of Brooklyn to Shirley Chisholm the first black woman elected to the United States Congress, representing New York’s 12th congressional district, a district centered on Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Education and systemic racism, in some schools in Brownsville only 10% of students are reading at grade level while in Park Slope 70% of students are reading at grade level. I will use my office to bring resources to neighborhoods such as Brownsville and East New York. Your education and future should not be decided by your zip code.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am not a career politician.

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

I would have brought more resources to communities of color and low income communities. I will also had helped senior citizens and provided resources, we loss too many lives because of incompetent elected officials.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Serving as a pastor of churches in Brooklyn and Atlanta.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." -Muhammad Ali

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
