Summer Field Trips with Lifelong Recreation

Lifelong Recreation offers programs for people age 50+. Lifelong Recreation Field Trips are back and we have many for you to choose from that still have space available! Click on the field trip titles listed below or refer to our Summer Brochure for more detailed trip descriptions.

  • Fishing Workshop, Friday, July 12 with SE Lifelong: We’ll head to Log Boom Pier in Kenmore for an all levels fishing workshop with freshwater angler bass pro George Yasutake. All equipment will be provided, or bring your own if you wish. Cost: $18, #66851
  • Climate Pledge Arena Tour, July 15 with NE Lifelong: Learn about the history and get a behind the scenes access on this 75-minute guided tour. Cost: $40, #67467
  • Bainbridge Island, Thursday, July 18 with SE & SW Lifelong: We’ll visit the Japanese Exclusion Memorial, the Art Musuem, and the new Troll art installation. Lunch/free time in downtown Winslow.  Cost: $35, #66852 (SE), #67444 (SW) 
  • Thrifting Adventures, Thursday, August 1 with NW Lifelong: A treasure hunt awaits. Visit thrift stores on Mercer Island and Bellevue to find one-of-a-kind items. Cost: $20,#64810 
  • Sister Act Musical, Wednesday, August 7 with SE Lifelong: Let’s enjoy this classic, popular musical comedy together at the Taproot Theater! Cost: $45, #66853
  • Wing Luke Museum, Wednesday, August 7 with NW Lifelong: Exhibitions in this museum focus on the culture, art, and history of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Cost: $34, #64809
  • Cedar River Watershed, Thursday, August 8 with Outdoor Recreation: Join us in exploring hands on exhibits that transport you into the closed boundaries of the Cedar River Municipal Watershed. Cost: $25, #68127
  • Mima Mounds, Thursday, August 8 with SW Lifelong: These mysterious mounds inspire imagination and speculations among visitors. With a half mile ADA accessible path and another 2 miles of more rugged wanderings, the Mima Mounds makes a great destination for all! Cost: $33, #67443
  • Camp Long Challenge, Wednesday August 14 with SE Lifelong: We’ll solve a fun challenge as a group on the outdoor low course at Camp Long. It’s a great way to make new friends and stretch yourself mentally and physically. Accessible to anyone who can walk without assistance.  Cost: $45, #66854
  • Parmount Theater Tour, Monday August 19 with NE Lifelong: Join us on this 120-minute tour of the historic Paramount Theater built in 1928. Cost: $17, #67469
