Suki Waterhouse’s dating history: Robert Pattinson, Bradley Cooper and more
Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson took their relationship to new heights when they welcomed their first child in 2024.
Prior to the singer’s serious relationship with the “Twilight” actor, Waterhouse had a history of dating men in the entertainment industry — many whom were much older.
From actors like Bradley Cooper to singers like Miles Kane, here is everyone the “Daisy Jones & the Six” actress has been in a relationship with over the years before settling down with Pattinson.
Miles Kane
Waterhouse began dating musician Miles Kane in 2011. She and the Last Shadow Puppets co-frontman proceeded to date for two years until breaking up in 2013.
Kane realized that their relationship had run its course while he was writing his second solo album, “Don’t Forget Who You Are.”
“I fell in love for the first time making this album, but I fell out of love too. … One of the angry songs, ‘Give Up,’ I wrote when I was still in the relationship and it blows my head that it came true,” Kane told the Daily Star in 2013.
He added, “It’s weird, writing stuff that pre-empts things that happen. … I overthink things. The title track is a little reminder to myself not to let my worries dictate how I am.”
Waterhouse and Kane appeared to momentarily rekindle things when they were spotted showing PDA in 2017, according to Daily Mail. However, things apparently fizzled from there.
Bradley Cooper
Waterhouse and Bradley Cooper met at the Elle Style Awards in London in February 2013.
The actress had just turned 20 and he had just turned 37 as they both share a Jan. 5 birthday.
Waterhouse admitted that she and the “A Star is Born” actor “hit it off almost immediately.”
“We were dancing at the afterparty, and he asked me if I fancied going to a club,” she told Wonderland for the magazine’s Rollacoaster issue in 2014.
Their 17-year age gap was put on full display when Cooper was seen reading a passage from Vladimir Nabokov’s novel “Lolita” to the much younger star while they relaxed in a Parisian park in August 2013.
Their relationship ended in March 2015, with a source telling E! News at the time that Cooper was ready for kids while Waterhouse wanted to “concentrate on her acting career before becoming a mom.”
Another source told Page Six that Cooper dumped Waterhouse because “she wasn’t supportive of his acting career” and she “spent Valentine’s Day away” from him.
Waterhouse made rare comments about their split in a 2024 interview with British Vogue, calling their breakup “disorienting.”
“When something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating,” she told the magazine.
But Waterhouse emphasized that she was “pretty strong at this point” after “a decade of working [her]self out.”
James Marsden
The indie pop artist appeared to move on from Cooper when she was spotted out and about with James Marsden in April 2015.
Waterhouse and the “27 Dresses” actor, who have an 18-year age gap, were photographed on a three-hour dinner date at Little Door in Los Angeles at the time, the Daily Mail reported.
However, a source told E! News that they were just having a business meeting and that Waterhouse was “very single” and “excited to start dating.”
If they were ever romantically involved, things didn’t appear to be serious as nothing further publicly developed from there.
Diego Luna
Waterhouse’s single status didn’t seem to last very long as she was spotted canoodling with Diego Luna in May 2015.
The “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” actor and Waterhouse, who have a 12-year age gap, met on set of their movie, “The Bad Batch.” From there, they were spotted showing PDA on multiple occasions.
They seemed to be keeping things casual as Waterhouse told Glamour in 2016 that she had joined the dating app Raya.
However, in January 2017, the duo were seen kissing in Tulum, Mexico, according to photos obtained by E! News. That fall, they held hands while on a stroll in New York City, the Daily Mail reported.
Things ended between them later that year.
Robert Pattinson
Rumors swirled that Waterhouse was dating Robert Pattinson in July 2018 when they were spotted at the movies together in London.
“Along the way, they were very close and cuddled and kissed many times,” an eyewitness told E! News at the time. “Robert was very affectionate to her and had his arm around her the whole way and Suki reciprocated by holding his hand and kissing it … they were very loved up and close. Robert stroked Suki’s hair and gave her another loving kiss.”
A source confirmed to Us Weekly that they had already been dating for months by the time they were caught kissing in public.
While they were repeatedly seen together, it wasn’t until a year later that they confirmed their relationship.
“If you let people in, it devalues what love is,” Pattinson told the Sunday Times in April 2019 about his relationship with Waterhouse. “If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends up better.”
They made their love Instagram-official in September 2019 when they cuddled up together for a photo posted by photographer Sofia Malamute, which has since been deleted.
In June 2020, the “Batman” actor confirmed that he and Waterhouse moved in together during the pandemic.
Pattinson and Waterhouse then made their red carpet debut together in December 2022 at the Dior Men Fall 2023 show in Egypt. In May of that year, they attended their first Met Gala as a couple.
Waterhouse revealed that she was pregnant and expecting her first child with Pattinson during her performance in Mexico City in November 2023.
“I decided to wear something particularly sparkly today ’cause I thought it might distract you from something else that’s going on,” she said, revealing her growing baby bump. “I’m not sure if it’s working.”
Sources told Page Six that the couple was “thrilled” to be starting a family together.
In December 2021, they sparked engagement rumors when Waterhouse debuted a diamond ring on her left ring finger. A source close to the couple confirmed to People they “want to be married.”
Waterhouse and Pattinson confirmed that they welcomed their baby in March 2024 when they were spotted walking with their stroller in Los Angeles.
The next month, Waterhouse posted a photo of their “angel baby” on Instagram.
Pattinson opened up about fatherhood in June 2024, sharing on X that having a baby makes him “feel very old and very young at the same time.”
Meanwhile, Waterhouse has proudly flaunted her postpartum body.
