Who is Cade Hudson? Meet Britney Spears’ manager – and vacation partner

Britney Spears and Cade Hudson are friends “till the world ends.”

Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, sparked breakup rumors when the pop star was seen enjoying a tropical getaway in Mexico with her manager and longtime friend.

While Asghari brushed aside speculation that their marriage was in trouble, fans were left wondering why Spears was spending so much time vacationing with Hudson.

Here are six things to know about the man who has kept the “Toxic” singer company on the beautiful beaches of Mexico as Asghari defended their relationship.

Hudson was an agent at the Creative Arts Agency prior to becoming Spears’ manager.

He started working for the Los Angeles-based talent company known for its impressive roster of clientele around 2014.

According to Celebrity Service, he also represented stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Bella Thorne and Johnny Knoxville.

Hudson previously worked as a publicist at Full Picture, a marketing and brand management firm that has clients in fashion, entertainment and other industries, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Hudson has been friends with Spears for decades.

Through thick and thin, Hudson has been by the “Crossroads” actress’ side, and he has been running in Spears’ inner circle for years.

Hudson maintains a rather private presence on social media, but he and Spears have been photographed together from time to time.

He was seen giving Spears a big kiss on the cheek in 2014, the BFFs were photographed dancing together in 2015 and she was spotted hitting his birthday celebration in 2017.

Now get to work, bitch

He became her manager after her longtime manager resigned in 2021.

Hudson began working as Spears’ manager in 2022 after her former manager of 25 years, Larry Rudolph, quit the gig in 2021.

“I was originally hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her with her career,” Rudolph wrote in a statement at the time. “And as her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”

He added, “I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been.”

Sexual misconduct allegations

Hudson made headlines when he was hit with sexual misconduct accusations in 2017.

He allegedly offered an actor sex in exchange for access to directors and a movie star in 2013, the LA Times reported.

Text messages obtained by the newspaper show Hudson offering to perform oral sex on Sean Rose, who is heterosexual, and solicited the actor for as much as $1,000.

Rose declined the offers and said he felt “embarrassed and humiliated,” but Hudson denied the accusations.

“After being my friend on social media for seven years, and liking my posts, Sean is now accusing me of soliciting a sex act from him,” he said in a statement via his lawyer at the time. “My recollection is that he laughed it off and remained my friend on social media.”

He added, “I have the utmost sympathy for victims of harassment and abuse, but this is no such case.”

Hudson slammed Spears’ conservatorship back in 2021. britneyspears/Instagram

Hudson was an outspoken advocate for Spears as she battled to end her 13-year conservatorship under her dad, Jamie Spears.

“This is a violation of someone’s basic human rights that were taken away. I’ve kept my mouth shut out of the fear of losing my job as her agent and losing the career I worked my ass off for 15 years to build, out of threats from the man we all know who, but I won’t even dignify mentioning his name. I’m officially done being quiet,” he wrote on Instagram in July 2021 (via TMZ).

It’s unclear who Hudson was referring to, but many speculated it was Rudolph. He also slammed Britney’s family for placing her under the conservatorship when she was trying to navigate the pressures of fame as a young mother.

“Britney who was accused of some errors as a new mom at 26 with 100 cameras in her face daily waiting to document any wrong move she did gets placed under a never-ending conservatorship?” he wrote, calling the legal agreement as “sexism at best.”

Britney’s conservatorship officially ended in November 2021.

Friends with celebs

Britney isn’t the only A-lister Hudson hangs out with.

Dozens of stars showed up to Hudson’s 36th birthday party in 2023, including Robert Pattinson, Rachel Zoe, Suki Waterhouse, Hayden Panettiere, Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Darren Criss, Ashley Benson, James Marsden, Ryan Phillippe, Demi Lovato,  Kelsea Ballerini and Sanaa Lathan, TMZ reported.

And as if that wasn’t enough, he is also good friends with Paris Hilton and has been spotted out with the hotel heiress on several occasions throughout the years.

Hudson also appears to be tight with Emma Roberts, as he was seen holding the actress’ hand when they attended Hilton’s wedding in 2021.
