Who is Bader Shammas? Meet Lindsay Lohan’s financier husband
Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas are parents!
Page Six exclusively revealed in July 2023 that the “Parent Trap” star gave birth to her and her husband’s first child, a son named Luai, in Dubai.
“The family is over the moon in love,” her rep said in a statement, adding that Luai is an Arabic name that means “shield” or “protector.”
The news came four months after Lohan announced her pregnancy with a photo of a baby onesie with the words “coming soon” on it.
Unlike his wife, Shammas has lived his life out of the public eye: For the duration of their relationship, his Instagram profile — which has just 750 followers — has been private.
While the couple have kept a relatively low profile, here’s what we know about the man who stole Lohan’s heart.
He’s from Kuwait
It’s clear the banker prefers to keep his life off social media, but his private Facebook page says he’s from Kuwait City, the capital of the Persian Gulf country.
He went to college in the States
According to Shammas’ now-disabled LinkedIn page, he went to the University of South Florida for a degree in mechanical engineering from 2007 to 2010.
Afterward, he attended the University of Tampa from 2010 to 2012 to get his Bachelor of Science in finance.
He works in finance
His education in finance led him to work at BNP Paribas Wealth Management before rising to assistant vice president — per his LinkedIn — at investment banking firm Credit Suisse in 2018.
He and Lohan live in Dubai
The pair met after Lohan moved to Dubai in 2014.
The New York native said in 2018 that relocating to the United Arab Emirates gave her a “fresh start.” She and Shammas started dating around 2020.
He proposed in 2021
Lohan and Shammas announced their engagement to the actress’ Instagram followers in November 2021.
The “Mean Girls” star shared a series of snaps cuddled up to her beau of nearly three years, captioning the post, “My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 💍.”
Shammas popped the question with a six-carat ring that was custom-made by Harry Winston and estimated to be worth $250,000.
It appears the couple got engaged somewhere cold, as they were seen snuggled up in thick sweaters and hats.
They wed in 2022
Page Six broke the news in July 2022 that the pair secretly tied the knot; however, Lohan later revealed their nuptials were in April of that year.
Around the same time, Lohan gave fans a hint at her new relationship status, calling Shammas her “husband” for the first time online.

“I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this everyday.”
Following the private ceremony, the newlyweds traveled to Turkey for a romantic getaway.
They expanded their family in 2023
The actress’ rep confirmed her pregnancy in March 2023, telling Page Six, “She is feeling great, and she is thrilled.”
Her father, Michael Lohan, later said Lindsay would “make an unbelievable mom.”
“She’s waited a while, but everything is coming at the right time,” he told the Daily Mail.
“It’s so amazing to welcome another grandchild into the world. It’s a totally new chapter in her life.”
Lindsay and Shammas’ baby boy, Luai, arrived in July 2023.
