Tristan Thompson shares rare photos with son Prince, 7, after child support drama
Tristan Thompson enjoyed a father-son lunch date with his eldest child over Fourth of July weekend.
The Cleveland Cavaliers player, 33, shared a series of rare photos with his 7-year-old, Prince, to Instagram Sunday.
“Lunch date with my Prince,” he captioned the carousel.
In the pictures, the duo can be seen smiling and making silly faces while snuggled up in a booth at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Thompson and his look-alike son dined on burgers and fries before exploring the grounds.
The NBA player shares Prince with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. He is also dad to daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 1, with Khloé Kardashian as well as son Theo, 2, with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
Although Thompson is often seen with True and Tatum, he reportedly has had little to no role in his other two sons’s lives.
In October 2023, Craig’s sister, Kai Craig, accused the athlete of ignoring Prince and failing to pay child support.
“It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy. I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much,” Kai wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post after Kim Kardashian raved about what a great father Thompson is on “The Kardashians.”
“It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince,” Kai continued.
“The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable,” she added.
Kai also claimed Thompson had stopped paying for Prince’s school tuition and was behind on his child support payments.
Later that month, Jordan filed a declaration claiming the pro baller had been making “either partial payments or missing child support payments altogether” since November 2022.
The model alleged that he owed her $224,000.
However, his child support drama didn’t stop there. This past March, the notorious cheater was ordered to pay Nichols nearly $58,000 in back child support after allegedly missing payments over a four-month span.
