Giada De Laurentiis reunites with ex Todd Thompson to watch daughter, 16, perform at theater camp
Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson reunited for the sake of their daughter, Jade, nearly a decade after their split.
The former Food Network star, 53, linked up with Thompson, 61, to watch the 16-year-old’s theater camp performance after spending a week in Italy with boyfriend Shane Farley.
“First stop back- Jadey’s camp performances 🏕️,” De Laurentiis captioned a carousel on Instagram Monday. “Soo proud of our girl & so special to watch her do what she loves.”
In the photos, the exes stood on either side of their daughter while smiling wide for the camera. Both Thompson and De Laurentiis wrapped their arms around the teen, who stood in the middle wearing a T-shirt and orange shorts.
De Laurentiis, who wore a tan T-shirt dress and a wide-brim hat, also shared a clip of the teen taking a bow after the performance.
Additionally, Thompson shared a few snaps from the weekend, including one with Farley. The threesome sat next to one another during the show — even sneaking in Levain cookies as a snack.
Thompson also shared pictures from Jade’s performance, her final days in camp and their travel back home.
“Camp pickup weekend,” he wrote. “Loved her musicals and didn’t know she would make such a cool Sheriff.”
De Laurentiis and Thompson were together for nearly 25 years before announcing their split in 2014. Their divorce was finalized less than a year later.
The chef told E! News in March 2016 that she had a really “rough” time with their breakup before reconnecting with Farley, who she first met in 2013 through work.
“I think that all of us go through stuff,” she explained at the time. “I checked out for a little bit. I tried to stay under the radar to protect my family and my daughter, mostly.”
Although De Laurentiis and Thompson are no longer together, they have put on a united front for their daughter’s sake over the years.
The exes came together in November 2023 to support Jade at her high school musical and the year before to celebrate her middle school graduation.
Farley has also been a pillar of support for Jade ever since he started dating the chef in 2015.
“I do not have children and to be able to have such a well-adjusted, fun kid around has been really nice,” Farley previously told People. “She’s just a great child. She’s smart. She’s funny. She’s adorable.”
It’s unclear if Thompson has dated anyone since his split from De Laurentiis.
