Real estate mogul Brandon Miller, husband of Mama + Tata founder Candice Miller, dead at 43

Real estate mogul Brandon Miller has died. He was 43.

The husband of Mama + Tata founder Candice Miller died in the Hamptons, NY, on Wednesday. He had reportedly been hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital a few days prior.

A cause of death has yet to be released.

Per the Real Deal, Brandon was laid to rest over the weekend at the New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon.

He is survived by his wife, Candice — who was his childhood friend before they tied the knot in 2009 — and their two children.

Brandon had worked as a managing partner at REEC — a company founded by his father, Michael Miller, in 1978 — since 2004.

While the company has worked throughout the US to create more than 20 million square feet of developments, it’s notoriously worked on several major projects in New York City, including 985 Park Avenue.

Brandon and his father, who died in 2016, have also faced a slew of lawsuits. In a 2019 suit, it was alleged that the patriarch told his assistant to forge his son’s signature on loan documents for a development project, according to the Real Deal.

In 2022, Brandon, his mom and sister were sued by TD Bank, alleging they completed fraudulent transfers to stop the bank from acquiring more than $2 million from the matriarch.

In May 2022, Brandon was slapped with another filing, claiming he owed a Hamptons marina about $55,000 for docking fees.

As for Candice, she kickstarted her Mama + Tata blog in 2016 with her sister, Jenna Crespi.

The socialite also co-founded the vintage clothing line Black Iris and is a top buyer for the Southampton shop Tenet.

Candice is known within the Hamptons social scene and runs in the same circles as Ivanka Trump.

She has yet to publicly speak out about her husband’s death.
