Dave Portnoy predicts Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be engaged ‘within 6 months’
Dave Portnoy is confident Travis Kelce will propose to Taylor Swift before the year is over.
“It’s got to be coming soon. It seems like it’s ramping up. I would say within six months –– it feels like that,” Portnoy exclusively tells Page Six while promoting the return of his One Bite Pizza Festival.
The Barstool Sports founder –– who is a proud and outspoken Swiftie –– adds that at least from an “outside” perspective, the “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs athlete are heading towards the aisle “faster.”
As for some Swiftie speculation that Swift and Kelce, both 34, are already “secretly” engaged, Portnoy, 47, doesn’t think that would make sense considering they’ve felt comfortable showing parts of their relationship in the public eye.
“With how public they seem to be, they would very much want that to be a big show,” he theorizes.
Regardless of if or when Kelce gets down on one knee, Portnoy reiterates that he just wants Swift –– whom he refers to by the nickname “mother” –– to be happy.
“Whatever makes mother happy? Good for her. I’m happy,” he shares.
Engagement rumors between the A-Listers have been in the air for months, but they heated up after Kelce surprised fans by joining Swift on stage at her Eras Tour concert in London on Sunday night.
“I don’t know, if I was in the crowd, like, I’m not there to see Travis necessarily,” Portnoy tells us of the surprising cameo. “I can see him on Sundays in the NFL. I’m there to see Taylor. Like if I go to an NFL game, I don’t know if I want to see Taylor take a snap, but they’re head over heels in love. So whatever makes mother happy, I’m good with.”
During Kelce’s surprise performance, the tight end appeared on stage for a skit before she broke into her new song, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
Kelce wore a black suit and top hat and carried her from one far end of the stage to the middle, setting her down and patting her with a makeup brush before helping her out of a gown to reveal a two-piece white bralette and bottoms.
Swift later gave her beau a shoutout by posting videos and photos of the skit and captioning the Instagram dump, “And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰.”
After the show, the Grammy winner and three-time Super Bowl champ were spotted holding hands while leaving together and enjoying a night out in London.
The couple have been packing on the PDA all over the world since she went public with their relationship in September during a Chiefs game. By January, sources told Page Six that Kelce plans to propose over the summer.

“Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan,” an insider told us at the time. “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”
Portnoy seemed to agree with our reporting when he previously predicted in May that the duo will get engaged “within a year.”
The “One Bite Pizza Reviews” host has never been shy to share his hot takes, but he’ll be swapping his hot takes for hot bites while hosting the “Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Festival” on Sept. 14, 2024 on Randall’s Island in New York.
The second annual festival will feature over 30 of the “world’s greatest pizzerias” –– including famed New York City establishments Lucali, Prince Street Pizza and John’s of Bleecker Street, among others.
“There is no food event that I’ve ever been to that’s quite like this. Much of the best of the best, and it all feels like you’re in their shop. And for pizza lovers, it’s a can’t miss event,” he tells us.
Tickets for the event, which has partnered with Bilt, Ferraro Food and Proper Wild, go on sale on June 28 at 12 p.m. ET.
