Justin Timberlake seen in handcuffs after DWI arrest as he leaves police station for court
Justin Timberlake was photographed in handcuffs just hours after being arrested on DWI charges in Sag Harbor, NY.
The “Mirrors” singer was seen walking from the Sag Harbor police headquarters to the neighboring court building on Tuesday morning, per photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
The 43-year-old’s hands were cuffed in front of him as an officer held the door open for him and his lawyer, Ed Burke, Jr.
Timberlake, who wore a gray T-shirt and jeans, looked grim as he followed the officer into the court, where he was arraigned and released from custody on his own recognizance soon after.
The Grammy winner was pulled over shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning following a night of partying with friends at the American Hotel.
Sources told Page Six that cops were “stationed outside where he was having dinner” and watched as the singer left the eatery and got into his vehicle.
Timberlake reportedly blew past a stop sign less than half a mile from the hotel and cops watched as he swerved across the road.
“He pulled out, and they pulled him over for a traffic violation,” the insider said.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the “Selfish” singer appeared intoxicated and they conducted a field sobriety test, which he failed.
He was also asked to take a breathalyzer, which we’re told he “refused.”
Timberlake reportedly told the police that he only had “one martini” — but they weren’t buying it.
We’re told some of his friends arrived at the scene and asked the officer to “let him go.”
However, the cop “was so young that he didn’t even know” who Timberlake was.
The singer, who has been open about his issues with “excessive drinking” in the past, was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two traffic violations.
