Miranda Cosgrove is still struggling to overcome the fear attached to a horrific stalking incident she experienced nearly a decade ago.

“That’s another reason why I go back and forth to my parents’ house so much,” the former Nickelodeon star confessed in an interview with Bustle Friday. “I just don’t feel super safe in that house.”

Eight years ago, Cosgrove, now 30, was being stalked by a man who reportedly ended up lighting himself on fire and fatally shooting himself in her yard.

The former child star said revealed a man lit himself on fire and shot himself in her yard after stalking her.
“I just don’t feel super safe in that house,” she told Bustle.

However, before he ended his own life, he shot at a woman who happened to be driving around the “iCarly’ alum’s home — thinking it was the actress.

“For two years after it happened, I wouldn’t really stay there,” Cosgrove admitted.

“Then I got into a relationship and because that person was there with me, I was less scared. But I don’t really like being there on my own that much.”

The “Leave It All to Me” singer said the woman who was mistakenly shot went up to her at an event at Kitten Rescue LA years later, and told her, “I didn’t know if I should tell you this here or how to say this, but I’m actually the girl that was at your house that got shot at.”

“She seemed like she processes things in a similar way that I do,” Cosgrove reflected.

Cosgrove’s stalker had been lurking around her neighborhood to try and find her.
The man reportedly shot a female neighbor — thinking it was Cosgrove.

The “Drake & Josh” alum shared that she set a “huge goal” for herself to find a place where she feels “really safe” to “kind of start a new chapter” — but she hasn’t found it yet.

Cosgrove is one of many celebrities that has been a victim of stalking. Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande and, most recently, Taylor Swift have all been illegally pursued by obsessive fans.

In January, Swift’s stalker was arrested three times in just a matter of days for lurking around the pop superstar’s NYC pad and attempting to go inside her home.

“The Voice” alum Christina Grimmie was tragically shot and killed by a stalker in June 2016 during a meet-and-greet after one of her concerts.

Despite Cosgrove being affected by one of the downsides of the industry, she has been able to live a pretty wholesome life for the most part.

Last December, the “Mother of the Bride” star shared she had never been drunk or smoked in her life.

Cosgrove said on the “Good Guys” podcast at the time, “I think it started off because I was always the designated driver when I went out with my friends, and I sort of liked taking on that role and got used to it and just kind of stuck with it forever.”
