Lauren Sánchez makes her Met Gala debut in mirrored floral ballgown
Lauren Sánchez’s Met look is in full bloom.
The 54-year-old bride-to-be made her Met Gala debut on Monday, hitting the red carpet in a black and white floral-adorned gown.
The former broadcast journalist paid tribute to this year’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” with her nature-inspired strapless style, which was covered in pieces of mirror glass, arranged in a floral pattern.
She posed for photos with fiancé Jeff Bezos, who donned a classic black suit for the occasion.
While this is Sánchez’s first appearance at fashion’s biggest night, Bezos has previously appeared with then-wife Mackenzie Bezos in 2012 and again — solo — in 2019.
This year’s gala, which is co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny, is being held in conjunction with an upcoming exhibit at the museum that will highlight pieces from its costume collection that are too fragile to be worn again.
Page Six exclusively reported weeks ahead of the major event that the couple would be anointed by Anna Wintour as at the 2024 Met Gala, cementing their place in the New York fashion scene after she landed her own Vogue profile and accompanying photoshoot with Bezos in November 2023.

Sánchez got engaged to the Amazon founder in May 2023 after five years of dating and has been on a role with her high-fashion looks as of late.
Her glamorous Met Gala ‘fit follows a series of standout outfits for the former TV reporter, who is now working with her own stylist, Kelly Johnson.
She wore a racy red lace gown to a state dinner at the White House last month, then danced the night away in a disco ball-like minidress at Coachella 2024.
And she celebrated at a pre-Met party on Sunday night in a barely there black floral lace minidress, perhaps hinting at the similarly garden-inspired gown to come.
