Lukas Gage was jumped and brutally beaten at 18 — now he says it fueled his ‘Road House’ performance

“Road House” remake star Lukas Gage says he was jumped as a teen. But he was able to draw on the horrifying experience for his role in the martial arts movie.

“I got my teeth knocked out — these are actually veneers,” Gage, 28, said at the Amazon Prime Video movie’s premiere. “I got them knocked out when I was 18.”

“It was the wrong party at the wrong time,” he told us. “They picked on my friend and I wanted to be the hero and I got jumped and they kicked my a*s. You can still see the scars here.”

“I’m not a fighter, but I definitely could draw on my fear in that moment,” he told us of filming the martial arts movie.

“We always smile and make light of the things that are most disturbing and traumatic for us,” he said. “So I have to say with a smile that was actually the most intense, horrible experience, but I made it out.”
