“What would a song smell like?”

That was Kacey Musgraves’ jumping-off point for her second candle collaboration with Boy Smells, inspired by her new single, “Deeper Well.”

“I kind of had a vision of making it feel like when somebody comes in from outside — maybe you’ve missed them, maybe you love them — and they smell like them, and it’s familiar and it feels comforting,” the Grammy winner told the crowd at an NYC party celebrating the launch of her Deeper Well candle ($56) on Thursday night.

“But they also smell kind of like [the] outside. There’s an element of the candle that feels like that to me.”

“I kind of had a vision of making it feel like when somebody comes in from outside — maybe you’ve missed them, maybe you love them — and they smell like them, and it’s familiar and it feels comforting. But they also smell kind of like [the] outside,” Musgraves said of the scent.

The fresh collab — which follows Musgraves and Boy Smells’ bestselling Slow Burn candle ($56), a scent that helped spark a celebrity candle craze — blends earthy gourmand notes of mushroom, raspberry and patchouli with the soft, fresh fragrances of eucalyptus, sage and lavender.

“Deeper Well” is the first single off Musgraves’ upcoming album of the same name, out March 15.

“This new album is an honest excavation of my own transformation the last few years,” the singer-songwriter shared in a press release.

“I’m emerging more centered, grounded, and trusting of myself than ever — and I knew that I wanted to create a multi-sensorial experience that cultivates self-discovery and our connection to the natural world.”

Those looking to get their hands on Musgraves and Boy Smells’ latest sound-to-scent interpretation, however, should hurry; when the spicy, smoky Slow Burn launched in 2020, the company couldn’t keep it in stock.

“I think we bought 5,000 for the first production run, and they sold out in 30 minutes,” Boy Smells co-founder and creator Matthew Herman told Page Six Style at the time, adding that they made “something like 90,000” for the scent’s second drop.

“You can really tell when someone’s just slapping their name on something,” he said. “I’m glad that we did one that feels really genuine and authentic to our brand and that happened naturally.”

As for how Musgraves found the process of collaborating for a second time?

“It was seriously so f—king fun,” she quipped at Thursday’s event.
