Alyssa Milano blasted for attending pricey Super Bowl 2024 with son after asking for money for his baseball team
Alyssa Milano was lambasted for attending the pricey 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday with her son after asking fans to make donations for his baseball team.
The “Charmed” actress shared an Instagram photo with 12-year-old son Milo from their seats at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas after the mother-son duo watched the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Fransisco 49ers, 25-22.
“My buddy. #mothersonlove #mothersonbond #superbowl,” Milano, 51, captioned the post.
While several of the actress’s fans flooded the comments section with loving messages, others pointed out the irony of her attendance at the game, where tickets start at a whopping $2,000 per seat.
“This is what the gofundme was for!😂,” one troll commented on the post, referring to the controversial fundraiser.
“Let’s be real for a second. How can a celebrity start a gofundme for her son and say that she couldn’t afford it but then pull up to the super bowl? Please explain??? I’m sure I’m not the only one that would love to hear YOUR answer, let alone hers???” a second person wrote.
“You have all the money to take him to the Super Bowl & still asked ‘fans’ to pay for him & his wealthy zip code teammates to go on a trip,” a third wrote. “GOFUNDME isn’t fundraising it is charity & charity ought to be for actual poor kids. Does that help? #alyssamilano.”
“Here’s a tip Alyssa, if your kid wants to earn a trip to Cleveland, tell him you’ll put the thousands of dollars it costs to go to the Super Bowl toward it instead of asking us,” another said.
“It’s about right & wrong. You can defend her all you want. She looks ridiculous to most people in a lot of ways & she clearly isn’t one to self reflect,” one more added.
However, several fans of the “Charmed” star rushed to her defense.
“how do you know she wasn’t gifted Super Bowl tickets?” one person asked. “Maybe she was invited there. One has nothing to do with the other.”
“People need to relax, she’s having an experience with her kid. Knock it off jeez,” a second defender said.
“I’m shocked to read some of these comments. @milano_alyssa has a reputation for kindness, charity, and support for everyone,” a third gushed, adding that most parents help with fundraisers for their children.

Last month, Milano was criticized for asking fans to donate to a fundraiser for Milo’s team trip.
Many were offended that an A-list celebrity was asking fans for money despite most likely having her own riches thanks to her successful Hollywood career.
Milano hit back at the haters and defended herself for sharing the GoFundMe with her followers.
“I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team,” she tweeted. “I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.”
The “Who’s the Boss?” alum added that the children also do their own fundraising with car washes, movie nights and other “fun things.”
“Thank you to all who have contributed to the gofundme! You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families,” she added.
Milano then called out the online bullies who made negative and hurtful comments about her son amid the ordeal.
“Regardless of how you feel about me, going on to my hardworking 12 year old son’s Instagram page and leaving these kinds of messages is so horrid,” she said. “Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball.”
Milo himself even stuck up for his mom after receiving nasty comments on his own Instagram account.
“You do realize I’m only 12 and I love my mom. My mom is the greatest human of all time. She does everything for everyone,” he responded to a troll who labeled Milano “selfish.”
Milano shares Milo and daughter Elizabella, 9, with her husband David Bugliari. She and Bugliari, 43, tied the knot in 2009.
