Sofia Richie shares video of at-home gender reveal of first child with hubby Elliot Grainge
Sofia Richie has shared the sweet moment she and her husband, Elliot Grainge, found out that they are expecting a baby girl.
Taking to social media Sunday, the daughter of Lionel Richie posted a TikTok video of the adorable moment that saw the duo, and their beloved dog, host an intimate gender reveal.
In the clip, the 25-year-old mom-to-be can be seen standing next to Grainge, 30, in their backyard.
“Ready?” she asked him before he set off a confetti popper after a short countdown.
After pink smoke and confetti filled the air, Richie let out a scream and ran around her yard in shock.
Grainge, for his part, kept his reaction more low-key but was no less excited than his wife about the news.
“I’m so excited!” Richie said in the clip as she hugged her hubby.
“Sorry to all my neighbors for the horrifying scream 😅,” she captioned the sweet video.
The model revealed to Vogue on Thursday that she is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
She wrote on Instagram along with a picture from the magazine photo shoot, “Our hearts are filled with so much love! So thankful for all of your support! Can’t wait for this next chapter of life.”
Richie, who is about six months along, told the publication she kept the news under wraps to “protect” her space.
“Pregnancy is really scary,” she shared. “I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take. For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”

She said the pair were surprised to learn they have a baby girl on the way.
“We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock,” she recalled. “My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl, too.”
The duo went public with their relationship in early 2021, and Grainge popped the all-important question in April 2022.
The pair walked down the aisle one year later, tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in France with Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, and more A-list guests.
