Matt Damon debuts gray hair at Golden Globes 2024: ‘Move over, Clooney’

Matt Damon is aging in style.

The actor, 53, surprised fans Sunday night when he arrived at the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet sporting a head full of gray hair.

As Damon took to the stage to present the award for Best Director for a Motion Picture, reuniting with longtime pal and collaborator Ben Affleck, fans shared their thoughts on social media.

“Matt Damon silver fox era kinda incoming…” wrote one Twitter user, while another joked “Move over [George] Clooney!”

While the “Oppenheimer” star has been letting his natural color peek through on various red carpets, this is the first time he debuted his new ‘do at a major event.

He now joins a long list of celebrities who proudly show off their gray hair, including Andie MacDowell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Andy Cohen.

Something that hasn’t changed, however, is Damon’s super sharp red carpet style. Working with stylist Karla Welch, the actor wore a Giorgio Armani tux for the big event, which was made complete with a statement-making bow tie.

Damon ended up being part of one of the biggest wins of the night, as “Oppenheimer” took home the award for Best Motion Picture, Drama.

He was personally nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his role in “Air,” though he lost out to Paul Giamatti.

The actor, of course, attended the awards show with his wife, Luciana Barroso, and the two made sure to pose for some sweet photos together.

The couple, who have been married since 2005, are often spotted vacationing together, showing off their toned physiques and swim style while at the beach.

Still, the silver fox recently made headlines due to one of his exes; after a video of the “Good Will Hunting” star winning his 1998 Oscar resurfaced, Minnie Driver revealed on social media why her initial reaction to the achievement seemed so sad.

“Matt had ended our relationship a few weeks before this, and was at the Oscars with his new gf… I was devastated,” she wrote in an Instagram comment.
