Christian Oliver’s ex-wife speaks on loss of late actor, 2 daughters killed in plane crash: ‘Deeply saddened’

Christian Oliver’s bereaved ex-wife wife, Jessica Klepser, and her family are mourning the tragic death of her husband and two daughters.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane accident on January 4, 2024, which took the lives of our beloved family members,” a statement written on behalf of Klepser and her relatives Friday via the Instagram for WundaBar Pilates, a studio where she works as a regional manager, began.

“Our daughters, Madita (12), and Annik (10), along with their father Christian, were returning from a holiday in the Caribbean when the single-engine plane they were traveling in experienced engine trouble and fell into the ocean. Unfortunately, all four passengers on the small aircraft did not survive.”

The late family members were then honored by giving some insight into who they were when they were alive.

The statement said Madita was “a vibrant 7th-grade student at Louis Armstrong Middle School, was known for her lively spirit and excelled in academics, dance, singing, and performances.”

It added that Annik was “a 4th-grade student at Wonderland Ave Elementary School, was recognized for her gentle yet strong demeanor.

“She was always the first to offer a kind word or a comforting hug. Her passions included basketball, swimming, and various forms of art.”

Both of Klepser and Oliver’s daughters shared a “deep bond, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit” that will be “missed” by all of those who knew them, per the post.

The statement then noted that Oliver was a real estate agent and an actor in both the US and Europe, and said, “His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.”

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, people send donations to a GoFundMe that has been set up for the surviving relatives. The account’s profile says the money will “go a long way in support of Jessica and the extended family during this terribly difficult time.”

Amy Jordan, the owner of WundaBar, also noted in the post that this is an “extraordinarily difficult time” for Klepser and that she will spend time supporting her and her daughter, who was Annik’s “best friend.”

Officials confirmed this week the small plane carrying Oliver and his two girls from the island of Bequia to nearby St. Lucia “plummeted into the ocean.” The pilot and owner of the plane, Robert Sachs, also died.
