Keke Palmer files for full custody of 8-month-old son amid Darius Jackson drama

Keke Palmer is seeking sole legal and physical custody of her 8-month-old son with Darius Jackson, per court documents filed Thursday and obtained by Page Six.

The “Nope” star, 30, was given the opportunity to give the fitness instructor joint custody of Leodis but she chose not to do so.

Initially, her reasoning was unclear, but we later discovered that she also filed for a restraining order against Jackson amid claims of abuse.

Page Six reached out to reps for Palmer and Jackson for comment but we did not immediately hear back.

In her petition for full custody, the “Akeelah and the Bee” star elected to pay for the “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth.”

However, she asked that both parties be responsible for their respective legal fees.

The documents also note that the court “may make orders” for child support and “issue an earnings assignment without further notice to either party.”

This new development comes after Jackson posted a series of cryptic tweets online.

He tweeted on Nov. 2, “Just thank God & keep it pushing” and reposted the day prior a tweet that read, “being betrayed by someone you loved really changes your mindset.”

The father of one also reposted another melancholy tweet that said, “nobody apologized for how they treated me, they just blamed me for how I reacted.”

Sadly, the pair have been having issues ever since Palmer danced with Usher at his Las Vegas residency in July, and Jackson publicly shamed her for the outfit she wore to the concert.

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” he tweeted at the time, sparking a lot of negative backlash online.

Despite the criticism, Jackson doubled down on his point of view, stating that he has “standards & morals.” However, the scrutiny became too extreme because he later deleted his account temporarily.

Palmer, for her part, took the controversy with stride by selling “I’m a Motha” merch, boasting about freedom and later appearing with Usher in his “Boyfriend” music video.

It was reported in August that Palmer and Jackson broke up, but he took to social media to slam the “false” reports.

Palmer then celebrated Jackson’s 30th birthday with him later that month and the two went to Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” concert together in September.

The couple first went public with their relationship in 2021.
