Harrison Ford’s son Ben’s wife, Emily, files for divorce after 14 years of marriage
Ben Ford, the son of Harrison Ford and Mary Marquardt, and his wife, Emily, are calling it quits after 14 years of marriage.
Emily filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
She is requesting joint custody of their 13-year-old son, Waylon, and asked the court to terminate the ability to award spousal support.
As for the division of their assets, Emily wrote, “All property, assets and/or debts acquired before marriage, after separation, or during my marriage by gift or inheritance. I reserve the right to amend according to proof.”
Although Emily reportedly listed their date of separation as Feb. 1, 2022, she notably posted a birthday tribute to the celebrity chef in September, indicating that the pair are still on good terms.
“please help me wish Big Daddy a happy birthday! you shine both on and off the stage of life,” she captioned a photo of her, Ben and Waylon. “here’s to another year of love and success! we love you.”

While Ben, 57, has not shared any photos of Emily on his personal Instagram since May 2022, he often shares throwback photos of himself with Waylon and his 23-year-old son, Ethan, whom he shares with his first wife.
Earlier this year, the “Taming the Feast” cookbook author posted a picture of him and Waylon camping during one of their “annual father-son farm trips.”
The year prior, he also shared an old photo of himself teaching his youngest how to hold a sparkler.
“From the time my children were little I have tried to see life through their eyes,” he captioned the post. “Just a gentle reminder to live the most wonder-filled life you can.”
When he isn’t sharing memories with his sons, the chef occasionally posts photos of his famous father, who rose to fame in “Star Wars” when Ben was 10.
In July, Ben shared a birthday tribute in honor of the legendary actor’s 81st birthday.
“Contrary to popular belief, my dad does not hate snakes. Happy Birthday Pops!” he captioned a carousel of the “Indiana Jones” actor playing with snakes as a teenager.
Harrison met Ben’s mother while they were both attending Ripon College in Wisconsin. The twosome tied the knot in 1964 and welcomed sons Benjamin and Willard in 1966 and 1969, respectively.
However, he and Marquardt, who was also a chef, split in 1979.
